World Builder is a powerful tool for Unity terrains that populates environment trees and details on distinct layers from a grayscale heat mask. It enhances the workflow from Quadspinner's Gaea terrain/heightmap generator, allowing artists to sculpt vast environments with artistic freedom and simulate vegetation using realistic growth patterns.

The package uses a familiar concept called Layers, similar to Photoshop layers, which subdivide biomes into ecosystems or smaller zones. This enables users to create layered forests, flourishing riverbanks, rocky beaches, riverbeds, and more.

World Builder seamlessly integrates with Unity's default terrain tools, enhancing their functionality without replacing them. It works in an iterative process with procedural stages that are inherently 'undoable,' allowing for precision and predictable scattering of trees and details.

The package includes a demo scene, documentation, and video resources to support the onboarding of the entire creative workflow. It is compatible with Unity's default terrain tools and Gaea's Arboreal, Growth, and Vegetation nodes.

Please note that the package has some limitations, including a single terrain per scene, a maximum terrain size of 2km x 2km, and some caveats with handpainting using Unity Tools. Test results may vary, and issues with other resolutions than 1024x1024 may occur.
