Description:
UNI VFX: Shields & Defense for Visual Effect Graph is a universal visual effects package for Unity URP. It uses highly performant GPU particle systems made in Visual Effect Graph. The package is super easily customizable without the need to enter the Visual Effect Graph Editor.

The package includes a custom shield shader made in Shader Graph with Intersection and Fade effects. It uses VFX Events - one Game Object stores multiple effects which can be triggered via C# or Visual Scripting. A total of 32 Events (not including 'stop' events) are included.

VFX Events are a powerful feature that allows you to create complex visual effects with ease. For example, the Arc Shield effect has events for create, loop, hit, end, and stop. You can start with the 'create' event, which then automatically continues with the 'loop' event. Each time the Arc Shield is damaged, you can send the 'hit' event that displays the corresponding effect.

The package has many features, including:

* Important properties are exposed so you can change color, spawn rate, pattern texture, etc. directly in the Inspector.
* Uses HDR colors - in combination with Bloom (Post Processing Effect), you have full control over the glow amount.
* You can freely change effects' transform to get the desired size.
* Shields use Intersection effect that highlights parts of the shield that touch other geometry.
* Shields fade when camera is near so you won't get weird clipping when passing through. This can be disabled if the camera shouldn't get through.
* Particles use custom uber effect shader made in Shader Graph.
* 1k textures with few exceptions used for tiny elements like sparks, embers, etc.
* Works with Orthographic projection (in 3D projects).

The package requires Unity 2021.3 or newer with Visual Effect Graph and Shader Graph. It works only in URP 3D projects. If the VFX doesn't show up, it needs to be recompiled. This can be easily fixed by opening the VFX assets in UNI VFX\Shields & Defense\Visual Effects.

The package includes a list of all effects and events:

* Angelic Protection - create, loop, hit, end, stop
* Shield Bubble - create, loop, hit, end, stop
* Shield Dome - create, loop, hit, break, end, stop
* Arc Shield - create, loop, hit, end, stop
* Patterned Shield - create, loop, hit, break, end, stop
* Area Defense - create, loop, hit, break, end, stop
* Defensive Energies - create, loop, end, stop
* Deflection - hit, crit

There are two prefabs per effect with different appearance, except for Deflection effect which has six prefabs. 10 meshes are optimized for VFX. 24 unique textures are included, with 19 of them having 1024px width. Smaller textures are used for tiny elements like sparks, embers, etc.
