The shader is easy to customize and can be used in a variety of genres, from realistic to stylized environments.
Technical Details:
The shader supports day and night cycle systems and is implemented as a fullscreen render pass before post-processing effects. It automatically syncs with the set light sources, ignoring invalid ones. The shader is customizable in the inspector, allowing you to adjust density, light strength, and other parameters. Two different renderer features are included, each with a unique approach to achieve a believable result. The effect can be rendered at half resolution and uses a 3x3 bicubic filter kernel with depth testing to smoothen results and maintain image sharpness. The shader has a low performance impact while providing a good result, and it does not generate volumetric light, instead, it provides godrays that fade out at larger angles.
