- Description:
- Maze Game Template 2.0 is a complete game template that allows you to quickly generate mazes and introduce them as playable entities in your games. This template is fully customizable to your likings and includes a complete demo scene showcasing how to implement and use the asset. The gameplay and/or visuals can easily be transformed to suit your project.
The template uses a manager component as the entry point and requires only a single Scriptable Object which contains the configuration for generation and the gameplay. It comes with predefined algorithms for generating a maze, and a renderer that handles how the maze is generated. The renderer provided with the asset makes use of Unity Tilemaps to render the maze, but anything can be used.
Optionally, the user can add a character to traverse around the maze and reach a finish at the end to complete the level. The character controls include Gyro support for mobile platforms (Android/iOS).
The template also includes an out-of-the-box 'Level Select' solution, which includes a complete level selection environment, support for score calculation and visualization, and automatic tracking of level progression.
The template is tested and optimized for mobile (iOS and Android) and web (WebGL) platforms, and is compatible with Unity 2020.3 and later versions. - Technical Details:
- The template is extensively and clearly commented, optimized for mobile development, and includes an extensive PDF with documentation. It is tested and verified on iOS, Android, Windows, and WebGL platforms.
