A package focused on 3D vegetation using Unity Shader Graph
This package contains:
-A sample scene
-46 different plant variations (3 materials for 3D plants and 1 material for billboards)
-1 ground texture
-The textures of the vegetation are 4K resolution
-Vertex colours on meshes (this helps to generate wind animation)
-2 shaders to use with the vegetation (Graph included)
-2 manuals that explain how to import more vegetation and how to convert the shaders from HDRP to URP.
-All assets are optimized with LOD's
Average Polycount:
Grasses:
LOD0 - 387 triangles
LOD1 - 136 triangles
LOD2 - 4 triangles
Short Plants:
LOD0 - 342 triangles
LOD1 - 181 triangles
LOD2 - 101 triangles
LOD3 - 4 triangles
Ferns:
LOD0 - 600 triangles
LOD1 - 263 triangles
LOD2 - 55 triangles
Tall Plants:
LOD0 - 1,518 triangles
LOD1 - 849 triangles
LOD2 - 254 triangles
LOD3 - 4 triangles
Single Mushroom:
LOD0 - 2,318 triangles
LOD1 - 1,370 triangles
LOD2 - 414 triangles
LOD3 - 88 triangles
Mushrooms group:
LOD0 - 10,958 triangles
LOD1 - 5,434 triangles

- Technical Details:
This package was mainly made to be used in HDRP, there is a way to convert the assets to URP but it is important to know that the assets will not react to the translucency effect the same way and the thickness map will be missed in the Universal Render Pipeline. In the case of built-in render pipeline, it is not possible to use the shaders, you must replace them to render the vegetation correctly. You can find a quick solution in the unity assets store with tools like The Vegetation Engine.
The vegetation from this product was used in the following demo
It was tested using a Desktop PC and a Gaming laptop in Unity HDRP with the Unity Terrain System:
Gaming Laptop / Intel Core i7-7700HQ - 16 GB RAM - GTX 1070 / Resolution: 1080p / Average FPS: 30 (this demo was locked to 30 fps)
Desktop PC / AMD Ryzen 9 5900X - 32 GB RAM - RTX 3070 ti / Resolution: 1440p / Average FPS: 82
IMPORTANT: Take in mind that all demos were tested using 4K textures on vegetation, also, all ground plants cast shadows to get the maximum fidelity.
