Description:
Analytic Soft Shadows is a real-time soft shadowing solution that uses spheres, capsules, and boxes to define shadows. It provides insane performance, even surpassing Unity's shadow mapping in some cases. The package includes features such as colored shadows, a famous capsule shadows algorithm used in AAA games, and real-time adjustable shadow softness. It also blends with Unity's shadows nicely, allowing for a mix of both. The package includes full source code for maximum configurability.

The limitations of the package include support for Deferred rendering path only in Built-in and Forward rendering path only in URP. It is not officially supported on mobile or WebGL platforms, requiring a platform with compute shader support.

This package is a solution to the issue of unrealistically sharp shadow maps, providing a more realistic soft shadowing effect. It is a great alternative to traditional shadow mapping techniques and can be used to enhance the visual quality of Unity projects.
Technical Details:
The package uses a combination of tiled-culling and depth-aware-upsampling to achieve its performance. It also includes an additional algorithm option that provides soft shadows that do not fade with distance. The package can be used with Unity's built-in rendering pipeline or the Universal Render Pipeline (URP).
