- Description:
- This package includes a pack of 6 different types of HUDs, each with its own unique behavior and high fidelity. The displayed data is automatically calculated by the script, making it suitable for various types of controlled machines, including aircraft, helicopters, drones, mechs, and more.
The HUD can be used as an HMD (Helmet-Mounted Display) similar to those used on the F-35 fighter jet. To use, simply drag and drop the HUD canvas prefab into your scene and link a reference to your aircraft's Transform or RigidBody. If left empty, it will automatically track the MainCamera's movement.
This advanced version features:
* Current speed, altitude, heading, and aircraft attitude (pitch, roll, artificial horizon, glide path, G-force, vertical velocity, horizontal velocity, angle of attack, and angle of slip)
* Adjustable offset and scaling factor for different orientations and unit conversions
* Configurable low-pass filter factor to smooth out abrupt fluctuations or read instant values
* Mini sound manager and console display for small timed messages
* Simple camera movement script for testing instruments
* Suitable for both arcade and simulation games
Updates include pre-fabs configured in world space for use in 3D environments and cockpits, as well as a new feature to easily change the HUD color anytime. Full source code is included. - Technical Details:
